Barbara Braziel has had the honor of serving the Savannah area for over 29 years. Her office has helped thousands of families keep their cars, their homes and other belongings. Ms. Braziel graduated from Jenkins High School in 1969, Armstrong Atlantic State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1973 and a Masters in 1976, and graduated from John Marshal Law School in 1980. She has had the honor of serving the people of this community for over 29 years. Barbara has raised three children as a single mom. She knows what financial struggle is and wants to help you gain financial freedom to help you make today the first day of the rest of your life.
Janie Brewer has worked in the legal field for the past 10 years and enjoys the challenges that she faces everyday. Janie started working for Ms. Braziel in 1999 but took a short leave of absence a year ago. Now she is back with Barbara Braziel and is working towards becoming a certified Bankruptcy Assistant.
Janie is from the Macon area but now lives in Savannah with her husband of 28 years. They have two children and are awaiting their future grandchildren.
Angie Prescott worked for the Chapter 13 Trustee's Office for 5 years. She began working for Ms. Braziel in November of 2006. She is now working to become a certified Bankruptcy Assistant.
Angie grew up in Claxton, Ga., and has lived in the Savannah area for over 12 years. She enjoys basketball, watching football, reading, and spending time with her niece, nephews, and godchildren.
Jeanette Prewitt worked for the Chapter 13 Trustee's Office for 15 years and began working for Ms. Braziel's office in September of 2005. She finds her greatest reward in knowing that clients leave the office with the feeling of financial relief. She is also working to become a certified Bankruptcy Assistant.
Jeanette moved to Savannah 30 years ago. She lives with her husband of 13 years and daughter, age 10, and also has two stepsons, ages 23 and 30.
Carol began working for Barbara Braziel's office in July 2006 and is proud to be a part of the office family where she offers her skills to assist others with their financial needs.
Carol moved to Georgia from Nashville, Tenn., in 2004 when she started a cleaning business for residential and new construction homes. She is now widowed with three children and three grandchildren. Carol Long enjoys reading, music, and spending quality time with her family.
Kelly Ussery joined Barbara Braziel's staff in September 2008. It has been a rewarding experience to be able to assist people through their financial hardships. She also helps clients to complete their credit counseling here in the office. Kelly is beginning to take on more roles in the office to accommodate for what she has learned in the past few years while working for Ms. Braziel.
Kelly moved to Savannah with her family from Macon, Ga., in August 2008 for her husband to pursue his career. Kelly and her husband have a 3-year-old daughter. Kelly enjoys watching NASCAR racing and currently bowls in a league with her husband and two other friends. Kelly most enjoys spending time with her family.
Mary Pitts was born and raised in Savannah, Ga., and has worked in the legal field for over 20 years. Mary attended the Georgia Regional Police Academy, St. Leo's College, and South College. Mary began working for Barbara Braziel's experienced team in 2008. She has found that bankruptcy law is challenging but by helping people on daily basis, it has been very rewarding. Our goal is to assist clients in attaining financial freedom. Working as an experienced team, we help clients set priorities and create balance to successfully meet this challenge.
Mary has raised four children and has one beautiful granddaughter.
