What is the “3-2-240” Rule?

What if I do not qualify for Chapter 7 bankruptcy?

If you do not qualify for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, or do not meet all of the conditions for IRS bankruptcy under Chapter 7, Chapter 13 bankruptcy is another smart option. Under this type of bankruptcy, your income tax debt will not be eliminated, but will be restructured into a 3- or- 5-year plan where you will make more manageable payments to the IRS. At the end of the payment plan, you should be caught up with your finances.
